Regarding Achille Castiglioni, I reinterpreted the Mezzadro stool for Zanotta because the stool has a particular shape and this statue somehow had to stay standing.
The Flos Gatto Lamp was perfect for the shape of the body, and of course his famous round glasses.

I wanted to apply the handle of the Neapolitan coffee maker that Dalisi made, and the shape of the body is made like his famous tin men. Because I paint and I often create illustrations, I decorated it even though his tin men are monochromatic. It seemed to me that colours looked good on it and so I gave it a touch of color this way.

One day I was watching a documentary about the African vervet, a type of ape, and I was really amazed by the colours of their patterning. They were very powerful in this documentary, however, the expressions of these animals stood out.

Since that day I started to draw monkeys for two weeks, then I went to Sicily because my husband is Sicilian and every summer we go to Syracuse. I was passing by a shop window and I saw some beautiful Teste di Moro. The Teste di Moro are vases, and in that moment something was triggered. I thought these monkeys are vases, they must become vases.

Often I use many textures for my designs. I'm obsessed with textures, just look at my paintings to see how I'm obsessive: texturizing is almost a cure for me, it calms me down and in many objects you can find these textures, both two-dimensional and three-dimensional.
